EVP & COO

Jeff Appelbaum is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Agency Worldwide, where he leads the firm’s internal operations, strategy, technology, finance, and organizational development. His work focuses on building the systems and processes that support The Agency’s long-term growth, operational excellence, and ability to deliver consistent results for Life Sciences clients.

Jeff’s professional background spans entertainment, technology, and global project management, including roles with ABC/Walt Disney, early internet media firms, and CCH, Inc. This cross-industry experience informs his practical, systems-driven approach to organizational leadership.

For more than 25 years, Jeff has also served as an active NCAA Division I Football Official, an experience that strongly influences his leadership philosophy. The demands of officiating—clear communication, disciplined decision-making, and seamless teamwork—mirror the principles he applies when designing processes, aligning teams, and driving operational improvement within The Agency.

A graduate of the University of Southern California’s School of Cinema–Television, Jeff combines creative problem-solving with a commitment to structure and continuous improvement. Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, supporting his sons’ athletic pursuits, and translating high-performance lessons from the field into organizational leadership.
